Go Green at the Old Torry Community Centre is our weekly, open to all social cafe on a Friday evening that creates wholesome and nutritious meals with food normally destined for landfill!! Led by passionate cook and Centre trustee Betty Lyon, her team of volunteers provide hot meals in a warm and friendly environment.
Since the cafe opened some two years ago, over 5000 meals have been served!!! Please ‘Like’ us on Facebook to find out when our next event will be!

Had my tea here last week; pea and ham soup, mince, tatties and peas, and lemon tart. Oh YUM. I had two platefuls of the mince and tatties! Soup was excellent. Wonderfully cooked by Betty Lyon, didn’t know she was SUCH a good cook! What a privilege to enjoy fine food, friendly atmosphere and for no cost! I would recommend this to anybody. Good, old-fashioned scran, cooked fresh, helping the planet too!
